Japanese Grocery Items

Just went to "New Hatchin Japanese Grocery" in Makati yesterday. Bought myself a few items that the readers of this blog might be interested in.
Tenzaru soba - Prepared by authentic Japanese chefs. Its cold buckwheat noodles with shrimp tempura on the side. It has tsuyu dipping sauce hidden under the noodles. This includes a side of kani and abura-age. This is really good stuff, highly recommended for Japanese food lovers.
Dango - Japanese dumplings made of mochiko. The top one is Anko (red bean paste), the middle one is called Mitarashi (shouyu sauce) and the bottom one is Chadango (green tea paste). This was actually the first time I actually had dango in my entire life.
Takuan - The big yellow stick on top is the Japanese Pickle. It is made from daikon radish. They said that having this after a meal would aid digestion. This was also referred to as Mugi's eyebrows for those of you who watch K-ON!.

Ramen Soup Base - The two white packets you see below are ramen soup bases. The one on the left is the shouyu soup base and the one on the right is the miso soup base. This specific brand is really good.

Fresh Ramen Noodles - The white thing on the far right is freshly made noodles, goes great with the soup bases menitioned above.
1.5 L Suntory C.C. Lemon - This 1.5 liter of C.C. Lemon has 210 lemons worth of vitamin C. I usually buy this when I visit a Japanese grocery, but this is the first time I bought something this big.
Gohan Desuyo - One of the strangest products I came across. Its actually miso paste that you put on steamed rice. It's actually good if you like miso soup, may take a bit getting used to for first timers.
Dorayaki - It's basically two pancakes joined like a sandwich with red bean sauce in the middle. Those who are big fans of Doraemon are familiar with this product.

There are actually a lot of other stuff found in this place, that also includes really good looking bento box meals.
