Takeda or Miyamoto

After the passing of Iwata, there have been questions on who will take over. Will it return to a descendant of the Yamauchi family? An American like Reggie? A time traveller? Or a space alien?

Right now Genyo Takeda and Shigeru Miyamoto are the representative directors of Nintendo until the election of the new president. So the question is, will it be Takeda or Miyamoto? It really sounds like something from the sengoku period. Too bad Takeda's last name is not written the same way as Shingen Takeda, that would be awesome!

Miyamoto in my opinion would be the most iconic choice to head the company, I mean he created Nintendo's intellectual properties like Donkey Kong, Mario, Pikmin and Link. However if Miyamoto does take over Nintendo, he will have less time creating since he will be running a whole company.

On the other hand Takeda was one of the main developers of the Wii and have produced great games like Punch Out!! and Pilotwings 64. He has also worked closely with Miyamoto on Popeye and Sheriff.

On a business standpoint Takeda would be a more likely choice due to his corporate experience and experience with Nintendo hardware.

Bottom line is whoever takes over the iron throne of Nintendo won't really matter as long as they have the passion to keep the business going. I grew up with Nintendo, it's already a household name, I want to make sure that this company stays alive for a very long time.
