Live!

Rurouni Kenshin and Gyakuten Saiban get the live action movie treatment this 2012. I'm kinda curious on how they would do it. So far I have no problem with the current cast announced.

Rurouni Kenshin:
The Rurouni Kenshin live action movie was announced to be released this 2012. It will be produced by Warner Brothers and directed by Keishi Otomo. Keishi Otomo is famous for directing drama series for television.
Takeru Sato
Kenshin Himura will be played by Takeru Sato. Takeru is known for his role as Ryotaro Nogami in Kamen Rider Den-O. Because of his multiple personality role in Den-O which he pulled off really well, I think he is a really good choice to play Kenshin.
Emi Takei
Kaoru Kamiya will be played by Emi Takei. Rurouni Kenshin would be her second movie after Sakura no Sono. She is pretty famous in several television dramas. She also appeared in several advertisements like Shiseido, Lotte, Softbank Mobile, Sokenbicha and Nintendo.

Gyakuten Saiban:
The Gyakuten Saiban live action movie will be produced by NTV and Toho, it will be directed by Takashi Miike. Takashi Miike is famous for his really violent movies like Ichi the Killer, 13 Assassins, Audition and many others. I guess his shift to courtroom drama is something I will have to look forward to.
Hiroki Narimiya

Ryuichi Naruhodo will be played by Hiroki Narimiya. He played Shinobu Morita in the live action televsion series of Honey and Clover. Can't wait to hear this guy shout "Igiari!" in his role as Ryuichi.
Takumi Saito
Reiji Mitsurugi will be played by Takumi Saito. Takumi will be playing Ryuichi's long time friend and first rival in the court room. This guy is pretty famous for his role as Jugon Mizushima in the movie Vampire Girl vs Frankenstein Girl and as Mamoru Itsuki in Siren 2.
Mirei Kiritani
Mayoi Ayasato will be played by Mirei Kiritani. Mirei will be playing as Ryuichi's faithful assistant. She also played Kurumizawa in the live action movie of Kimi ni Todoke, She will also be playing as Nino in the live action version of Arakawa Under the Bridge which will be coming out in 2012 as well.

Usually people don't agree with live action conversions, but being a fan of both titles above, I really want to see it first before saying it is good or bad. But that King of Fighters movie was really bad. Oh the agony, but that's another story for another day.
