Former executive and mascot of Hudson Soft Toshiyuki Takahashi will be leaving the company by the end of the month (May 31). Toshiyuki Takahashi is also known as Takahashi Meijin in Japan, he is famous for his 16 shots per second skill. If you think he looks familiar, he happens to be the lead character in Takahashi Meijin no Bouken Jima (Takahashi Meijin's Adventure Island).
He is known for the use of his 16 shot per second skill in games like Star Soldier and and the Famicom version of Star Force. He has appeared in various anime, manga, advertisements and certain shows. He has been working under Hudson for 29 years.
The reason for leaving the company is left unknown as shown in his
official blog, however according to
Andriasang.com, he is working with gravure idol and gamer
Haruna Anno on an unnamed venture.
