Speedline Man

To those guys who have known me for a long time, you already know that I am making a comic book named Speedline Man. It actually started with a drawing of Spider-Man without the webbing, but instead I filled the costume with speed lines. Thus, it was the birth of Speedline Man. I also gave the character a name of Ben Wiley. I created Speedline Man during Spider-Man's clone saga. It was actually the most messed up story in Marvel history in my opinion. It was also my favorite.

Over the years, I made various story lines for the character. Usually in the middle I get a writers block and inspiration at the same time, making me scrap the previous idea and reboot the story. I guess it happened five times already. I just hope this will be the final.

There were also several changes in the character design. The first one looked like Jin Kazama of the Tekken series. I eventually evolved it to the picture you see on the left. I made his hair look like Sonic the Hedgehog. His girlfriend's original design looks a lot like Amy Rose of the Sonic series, I decided to make it a running joke in the story.

There are only a few factors that are stopping me from completing the story, one is my work, and the other one is video games. Once I start holding a controller, I can't stop ARRRGH! One funny thing about creating Speedline Man is I try to make an original story, however a manga shows up with a similar story. I really had to give up the idea and I start to think of another one. I actually thought of a story his girlfriend being a descendant of Valkyries, guess what, I saw Valkyria Chronicles and I had to give it up again. However, my new idea is slightly similar to a certain show I have seen before. But I will be telling it in a different way. I won't write it here though. But I will post the comic book once I have completed the pilot episode.

I have been watching "Bakuman" recently. It is a very inspiring show, I started thinking up of a story again. Gotta work on my anatomy as well. I am notorious for not completing what I started, I hope this time I could finish it this time. I wish I had the determination of Kentaro Miura, the author of Berserk who dedicated his entire life in completing his creation.
