Goku Only Had One Original Move
I have been a big fan of Dragonball ever since I was a grade schooler. I have seen every episode of Dragonball, Dragonball Z and Dragonball GT, and now I am currently watching Dragonball Kai which is a Akira Toriyama cut version of the Dragonball Z anime which originally had a ton of fillers.
I just noticed recently that Goku only had one original hissatsu (special attack) Everything else was taught to him. The "Kamehameha" he actually imitated from Kame Sennin, it wasn't directly taught to him. All the other attacks using the Kamehameha was modified. The teleporting Kamehameha was only the combination of the Kamehameha and the Shunkan Ido which he learned in the planet Yardat. There was also the Kaiou Ken Kamehameha in which the Kaiou-Ken was taught to him by Kaio-sama, and the Chou Kamehame ha which was a more powerful version of the Kamehameha in his Super Saiyajin four version. The Genki Dama or Spirit Ball was also taught to him by Kaio-sama as well. The Jan-ken-pon attack was taught to him by his grandfather Gohan and the use of the Nyoi-bo.
I think the only original move he actually did was the Dragon Fist in which he used to defeat Piccolo Daimaoh. Minus the Kamehameha starter, the move was modified in the Dragonball movies in which he used this technique to defeat Janemba and Hirudegarn. This move was also used in Dragonball GT against Super Android 17, San Xing Long and Omega Shenlong.
Compared to the other characters, they had more than one original special attacks:
Krillin - Kienzan and the Kakusandan
Trunks - Burning Attack and Finishing Buster
Vegeta - Big Bang Attack, Garlic Ho, Final Flash, and Final Shine Attack
Tenshinhan - Kikoho and Taiyou Ken.
Yamcha - Rogafufuken and the Sokidan (The remote controlled Kikou)
Gohan - Chou Maretsugeki, Shoryuken (yep, its slightly similar in the Street Fighter series) and his unnamed "Leave my daddy alone" attack in where he charges his opponent head on which causes massive damage.
Piccolo - Makankosappo, Kuchikarakikoha, Masenko (which was taught to Gohan), Renzoku Sen Kodan, and Gekiretsu Kodan.
Goten - Totsugeki, and a unnamed Genki Dama attack that uses his own energy instead.
