Dragon's Dogma
The newest title from Capcom which will be released for the Xbox 360 and the PS3. The game is a bit similar to Lost Planet 2 but is set in a huge open world. In this game you will be fighting mystical creatures like griffins, harpies, golems and dragons. It will be powered by Capcom's own MT Framework engine version 2.0. Its the very same engine that brought you Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Lost Planet 2.
Story:
A dragon tore out your heart knowing that you are the "chosen one" in which you were destined to die. For some miraculous reason you are saved from certain death. Your new objective now is to kill the dragon that stole your heart(literally).
What I think:
My disappointment is that you will be playing with 3 A.I. controlled characters. One of them will be your own assist character and two of them will be borrowed from others who have played the game. They are introducing it as a one player multiplayer game. Kinda like Monster Hunter in where you have Feylines that assist you in your quests. There are no updates if live players can actually join you in your quest. They did mention that you can command these computer controlled characters like in Biohazard 5. I hope they would keep the Lost Planet 2 system in where you have 3 A.I. controlled characters and can still be joined by 3 other live players online. Despite that issue, I really want to get my hands on this game. Instead of the grappling hook function of Lost Planet 2 in where you can use it to climb the enemy and shoot the heck out of it, they introduced a similar grab function in where you can climb your enemy and deliver your ass whoopin' up close and personal. March 27, 2012 is the expected release date in North America, although they have an earlier release date for the Japanese version.
