DC Reboots the franchise in September

This is already old news to some of you who are reading this. DC actually announced the reboot of all their characters this September. Basically all the superheroes we all know and love will have a complete overhaul. Some people say "its about time" and some of them are disappointed with the move.

I'm a big comic book fan, and I grew up reading comic books from DC and Marvel. Over the years, it seems that DC keeps adding new stuff to their characters until everything starts confusing some of the readers. Although I had no problem dealing with the revisions or their infinite universes, acceptance is part of being a fan. There have been some holes and inconsistencies in the stories, and there are also  times that they have killed off a character and brought it back to life. In a way DC is a hard disk that needs to be defragmented or reformatted. I believe this is one of those aggressive business tactics that we are about to witness from one of our favorite comic book publishers.

My reaction to the news at first was mixed, I kinda already liked the DC universe as it is. However there is also a desire to see change. This is good news for those who want to start collecting, everything is back to #1. I cannot judge if the move by DC is good or not, I have to see it for myself first.
