Katanagatari and Tamayura Concluded

Katanagatari kinda ended in a way I never expected, but I liked it anyway. Let's just say it was a vengeful episode, a real bloody one to be exact. This show only broadcasts once a month so basically the gap between episodes is pretty long. There are a total of 12 episodes on this one, the first one started in January, it ended in December. In a way the show was kind of like based on real time since Shichika and Togame were together for a year as well. Awesome show, especially for people who like action. All the episodes can be downloaded from Mazui.

Shichika and Togame

Tamayura is pretty much the same, since its an OVA, the gap in between episodes is pretty long. Thank goodness there are only 4 episodes in this. This show is incredibly cute, this is a good show for those who like the slice of life genre. There is also a lot of topics about photography in this show.

Tamayura is what the Japanese call the mysterious floating orbs of light you find in photographs.

For her first year of high school, Fu Sawatari moves to Takehara, a scenic old town near Hiroshima, on the Inland Sea. Her father, who has passed away, grew up in Takehara. She loves taking photographs with her father's old film camera, a Rollei 35S. The story follows her and the friends who gather around her as she comes to love her new home. All the episodes can be downloaded from Mamiko.
