If you're an amateur mangaka, or you've got this crazy idea for a story but don't have the right-brain skills to do some sketching, here's something interesting.
Comi Po! is a manga sequencer software suite, but it's more than just Photoshop for manga. Take a look at the demo video below.
Most interesting are the fact that real-world photos can be filtered to look like manga illustrations.
For now, the characters are preset 3D models, but there is a 3D model editor in the works that will follow after the beta release this November. New graphic packs are also planned allowing for new genres of manga to be created. The first is for school scenes (as seen in the demo) but the next one will have 'fantasy' themed-scenes and characters.
Even better, there are plans to release this in other languages (like English). Obviously, Rule 34 enforcers will benefit tremendously from this tool.
I'm not usually fond of 'middleware' that takes too much from the creative process, but this just blows me away.
Beta starts in November.
